Police are investigating the discovery of a man’s body in the ventilation system of a Macomb Community College building in Michigan. The body was identified as 36-year-old Jason Thompson, who had been reported missing on November 1 and last seen by family on October 25. There is no reason to suspect foul play, according to Macomb College Police Chief William Leavens, but the investigation is ongoing. The body was found while authorities were looking for the source of a bad smell at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts in Clinton Township, just north of Detroit. Police have not offered speculation about how the body ended up in the ventilation system or how long it had been there. The college is offering its condolences to Thompson’s family.
