The Fourth of July was celebrated throughout Northern Virginia with a variety of events and activities. The day began with a Naturalization Ceremony at Mount Vernon, where 52 people became U.S. citizens. In Lorton, the Workhouse Arts Center hosted a fireworks show on June 29, while the Vienna Independence Day Celebration took place on July 2. McLean also held a Fourth of July Celebration on June 29 at Langley High School, featuring fireworks. Loudoun United FC hosted a 703 Night on July 3 at Segra Field, followed by various events on the Fourth of July.

Dale City held its 53rd annual Fourth of July Parade, while Manassas celebrated with a fireworks display at Old Town Manassas. Great Meadow in Fauquier County also hosted a Fourth of July Celebration with an air show, live music, and fireworks. Ferry Farm in Fredericksburg had a day of activities on the Fourth of July, including live music and tours of the mansion.

In Fairfax, the City of Fairfax hosted a parade and fireworks display, while the National Mall in D.C. had a fireworks show with national monuments as the backdrop. Herndon, Stafford County, Great Falls, Leesburg, and Purcellville all had their own Fourth of July events, including parades, fireworks displays, and live music.

Overall, Northern Virginia was alive with patriotic spirit as residents and visitors came together to celebrate the nation’s 248th birthday with a wide range of activities and events.
