Controversial influencer Andrew Tate made headlines on Friday with a bizarre and misogynistic remark after celebrating his release from Romania. Tate, who has been indicted on charges of rape, human trafficking, and organizing a criminal network to sexually exploit women, boasted that he plans to travel the world to meet his “bi****” in a sports car. The court ruled that he and his brother Tristan are permitted to leave Romania but must stay within the EU pending their trial.
In a video posted online, Tate can be seen shirtless, pointing to expensive sports cars, and bragging about his newfound freedom despite still being restricted to the EU. His lawyer hailed the court’s decision as a reflection of their “exemplary behavior.” Tate’s perspective on women remains controversial, as he openly discussed which luxury car he should drive to see his “bi****” and declared his intention to visit the Italian Alps, stating, “I’m built different.”
The British-American citizen was detained near Bucharest in 2022 and indicted in June 2023 alongside his brother and two Romanian women. Despite his claims of innocence and the case being a sham, Tate still faces legal troubles and must abide by the court’s restrictions. The video of his celebrations has since garnered millions of views, sparking outrage and further controversy surrounding his attitudes towards women and his legal battles.
