Celebrated art historian Lyn Bolen Warren founded Les Yeux du Monde in 1995 as one of four public art venues in Charlottesville. Over the past 25 years, Warren helped transform the city into an artistic haven with now over 30 museums and showrooms. Sadly, Warren passed away in 2021, but her legacy at Les Yeux continues with her daughter, Hagan Tampellini, who runs the gallery in a modern building designed by architect W.G. Clark in 2009. The gallery focuses on showcasing visually exciting and meaningful art with an emphasis on art historical significance. UVA emeritus professor of art, Dean Dass, praised Warren as an art history maker, noting her incredible accomplishments in the city. Les Yeux du Monde’s commitment to art and culture is evident in its continued success and reputation as a premier destination for viewing art in Charlottesville. For more information, visit LYDM.com.
