Airline systems impacted by a global IT outage on Friday have now started working normally, with all issues expected to be resolved by noon today, according to Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu. The ministry is closely monitoring operations at airports and airlines to ensure that travel adjustments and refunds are being taken care of. The outage, caused by an update to an antivirus program, affected airlines, banks, TV channels, and financial institutions, making it one of the biggest IT crashes in recent years. Microsoft stated that the issue began on Thursday and affected Windows users running cybersecurity software CrowdStrike Falcon. CrowdStrike has released a fix for the problem and their CEO, George Kurtz, has personally apologized for the impact it has caused. The Microsoft Cloud outage has had widespread consequences, but efforts are being made to rectify the situation as soon as possible. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity in today’s technology-dependent world.
