Virginia (Ginny) Burke Long, a beloved member of the Daytona Beach community, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2024. Born in Chattanooga on February 28, 1926, Ginny moved to Daytona Beach after college and married J. Hart Long Jr., with whom she shared a beautiful 69-year marriage.

Ginny was a loving mother to her children Jim, Sarah, Ginger, and Ray, and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known for her positive attitude and willingness to help others, Ginny was a true disciple for Christ who lived and loved every day in service to others.

A celebration of Ginny’s life will be held on August 10, 2024 at Westminster By The Sea Presbyterian Church in Daytona Beach. Those wishing to learn more about Ginny’s life and legacy can visit her memorial page online at www.haigh-black.com.

Ginny’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love and kindness she shared with everyone she met. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
