The victory was a highlight of the day, which also saw Grace Brown win a treacherous time trial and the start of surfing competition at Teahupo’o. The first day of Olympic surfing in Tahiti featured powerful waves at the famous break, providing a thrilling spectacle for spectators. Additionally, concerns were raised about water quality in the River Seine, which is scheduled to host marathon swimming and triathlon events. Despite heavy rain affecting water quality, the events are set to proceed with precautions. As the day progressed, more events, including shooting, mountain biking, judo, archery, skateboarding, canoe slalom, swimming, and fencing took place. Notable events to look forward to included the return of Adam Peaty in swimming, the dominance of the US men’s basketball team, and the competition in women’s street skateboarding.
