Virginia National Guard Soldiers from the Danville-based 429th Brigade Support Battalion recently completed their annual training at Camp Dodge, Iowa. The training took place from June 16-28, 2024, at the Army National Guard Sustainment Training Center, where Soldiers from Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie Companies honed their skills in technical and tactical sustainment operations.
Capt. Adam Bondurant, Bravo Company commander, highlighted the value of the training in providing real-world, hands-on experience for the Soldiers. The exercise allowed the units to decipher daily FRAGOs and adapt to changing missions, providing a valuable learning experience for the Soldiers.
The training included various scenarios for each company, with Alpha Company focused on distribution operations, Bravo Company on maintenance tasks, and Charlie Company on medical support. In addition to their regular duties, combat medics within Charlie Company had the opportunity to recertify their skills, while dental technicians provided dental exams to fellow Soldiers.
