A tragic carjacking incident in Sterling, Virginia left one person dead on Sunday afternoon, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities responded to a report of a carjacking in the 21000 block of Towncenter Plaza, where 54-year-old Melody Waldecker was struck by the car as the suspect fled the scene.
