Donald Trump announced on social media that he has agreed to debate Kamala Harris on September 4, hosted by Fox News. It is uncertain if Harris has agreed to the plan. This would be the first debate between Trump and his new opponent following Joe Biden’s exit from the presidential race last month. The debate is set to take place in Pennsylvania and will be moderated by Fox News anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, with a live audience present. Trump also mentioned that the second debate scheduled with Biden on September 10 has been canceled since Biden is no longer running. There has been uncertainty regarding additional debates due to Biden’s withdrawal. Trump had previously backed out of a debate with Biden because of the uncertainty over the opponent. Harris has challenged Trump to reconsider and face her on the debate stage, emphasizing the importance of addressing concerns directly. Representatives from the Trump and Harris campaigns, as well as Fox News, were not immediately available for comment.
