An 83-year-old Michigan woman, Karol Kay DeGraw, died in an aircraft crash in Napoleon Township. She was flying a gyroplane alone when it crashed at a private airstrip on her property. DeGraw was last seen alive taking off from the airstrip, but her intended destination is unclear. Police believe she intended to stay in the Napoleon Township area, located approximately 85 miles west of Detroit. The Federal Aviation Administration, National Transportation Safety Board, and Township Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
