Israeli forces have continued their offensive in Gaza, killing at least 50 Palestinians and injuring more than 120. The latest strike targeted a school housing displaced Palestinians in Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of four people, including children. The Israeli military claimed the school was being used as a hideout by Hamas terrorists.
In another attack in southern Gaza, seven Palestinians, including two children and five women, were killed at a tent camp for displaced people. In Rafah, four farmers were killed by Israeli tanks while working in their fields.
The Israeli military issued new evacuation orders in central Gaza, leading to chaos and panic among residents. Witnesses reported tanks shelling near civilians and shooting at people trying to flee. The Gaza Government Media Office stated that over 1.7 million Palestinians have been displaced to humanitarian zones.
UN agencies have condemned the violence, with UNRWA head Philippe Lazzarini denouncing the attack on the Gaza City school. He questioned the humanity left in the conflict and called for a ceasefire to end the relentless suffering of children in Gaza. The UN has stated that 90% of Gaza’s population has been displaced at least once since the conflict began.
