A lucky winner in Ashburn, Virginia is now a millionaire after purchasing a Powerball ticket that matched the first five numbers in Monday’s drawing. The winning ticket, sold at Harris Teeter in Ashburn, missed the Powerball number but still won a $1 million prize. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. The winner has 180 days from the Nov. 25 drawing to claim their prize and should contact the Virginia Lottery to do so. This ticket was the only one in the U.S. to match the first five numbers in the drawing, as no ticket matched all six numbers for the jackpot. With no winner, the jackpot for Wednesday’s Powerball drawing is now estimated to be $195 million with a cash value of $90.7 million. Powerball drawings take place three times a week, and the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million. Overall, the odds of winning any Powerball prize are 1 in 25.
