Currently, Utah is ahead of its preseason projection in the Big 12 standings, tied with West Virginia, TCU, and Kansas State at 5-6. The upcoming game against West Virginia will be a challenge, as they are ranked nationally in 3-point field-goal defense and scoring defense.

Utah’s Lawson Lovering is making a mark as a big man passing the ball, ranking fourth among players 7-0 or taller in assists. The team will face Cincinnati next before returning home for games against the Kansas schools.
