Virginia A. Thompson, a beloved resident of Dunkirk, NY, passed away peacefully at the age of 89 while vacationing with her family in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Virginia, born to Martha and Richard Cole, was married to Burnell Mee and later to Richard Thompson. She had two children, James and Mary, and worked at various places, including the Jamestown Bowling Company where she retired.
Virginia was an avid bowler, passing down her love of the sport to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching the NY Yankees, and Game Show Network. Known for her sharp wit and sense of humor, she cherished spending time with her family, especially her daughter Mary. Family dinners every Thursday and Sunday were a tradition she cherished.
She is survived by her son, daughter, grandchildren, brother, and several nieces and nephews. Virginia’s funeral service will be held at Falconer Funeral Home, followed by a burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will take place at Jamestown Bowling Company on her 90th birthday.
Friends and family are invited to send messages of condolence on the Falconer Funeral Home website. Virginia will be remembered for her love of family, bowling, and humor that she passed on to future generations, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter.
