Donald Trump’s inaugural weekend is set to be star-studded, with famous athletes, internet personalities, and musicians lined up to perform and attend various events. The US President-elect and his wife Melania Trump kicked off the celebrations with a private party and fireworks show at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia on January 18.
Country singer Parker McCollum is set to perform at the Commander-in-Chief Ball on Monday night, where Trump is scheduled to address the audience among other events. The inauguration ceremony will take place indoors in Washington on Monday due to freezing temperatures, a departure from the previous outdoor swearing-in ceremonies.
Celebrities expected to make appearances at Trump’s inaugural weekend include iconic athletes such as Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield, current athletes like NHL’s Evander Kane and MLB pitcher Noah “Thor” Syndergaard, retired athletes Brian Urlacher, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown, internet stars Jake and Logan Paul, rappers Rod Wave and Kodak Black, comedian Rob Schneider, and singer Carrie Underwood who will perform “America the Beautiful” at the swearing-in.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will co-host a black-tie reception on Monday night with other UFC stars expected to attend. According to Alex Bruesewitz, a media advisor to Trump’s inner circle, celebrities who have met Trump in person have found him charming and funny, dispelling the media portrayal of him as angry or crazy. Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on January 20 at 12.00 pm ET.
