Aurora Phelps, a woman from Las Vegas, has been arrested and charged with luring older men on dating apps, drugging them, and defrauding them in a “romance scheme” that led to at least two deaths. In another incident, Phelps allegedly caused a man to disappear, opened a new account in his name, and stole his Social Security payments among other money. A fourth man was found dead after a date with Phelps, and she allegedly used his financial accounts to make purchases, including a gold coin.
Phelps’s alleged “romance scheme” was elaborate, targeting vulnerable individuals and resulting in significant financial losses and tragic outcomes, including death.
