Singer Pawandeep Rajan Under Medical Care After Serious Accident
Noida, Uttar Pradesh — Pawandeep Rajan, the celebrated winner of ‘Indian Idol Season 12’, is currently receiving medical supervision following a severe road accident in Amroha district early Monday morning. The 27-year-old artist from Uttarakhand’s Champawat district suffered multiple fractures and a significant head injury and is now described as "stable and conscious" at Fortis Hospital in Noida.
Hospital officials confirmed that Rajan will require several surgeries to facilitate his recovery. “He is currently stable and conscious. Our clinical team is closely monitoring his condition and providing all necessary medical care,” a hospital representative stated.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. when Rajan’s SUV collided with a stationary truck parked on the roadside along National Highway-9 near Gajraula’s Chaupala Chauraha overbridge. Alongside Rajan, the vehicle’s driver, Rahul Singh, and passenger, Ajay Mehra, were also injured. Eyewitnesses reported that quick-thinking passersby transported the injured parties to a nearby medical facility before they were referred for advanced treatment.
Local law enforcement, including Inspector Akhilesh Pradhan, confirmed that both vehicles involved have been impounded and legal proceedings are underway. The area is notorious for traffic congestion and unauthorized vehicle parking, contributing to accident risks.
The incident has elicited widespread concern, with fans and locals gathering near the site. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his support for Rajan on social media, stating, “I pray for his speedy recovery,” as fans continue to rally behind the beloved singer during this challenging time.
