The following day, June 8, the series continues with “Music of the Americas, Selections for Wind Quintet,” presented in the Periodicals Room at the same time. This performance aims to celebrate musical diversity from across the continent.
On June 14, the brass section will take center stage in the Reading Garden with “Music from Canzonas to Big Band.” This high-energy performance by a talented brass quintet is sure to excite jazz and big band enthusiasts alike.
The series culminates on June 29 with “Magical Music, Fantastical Worlds for String Orchestra,” to be convened in the Large Meeting Room. This enchanting concert promises to transport listeners to whimsical realms through the strings’ emotive soundscapes.
All concerts are free to the public, although donations are welcomed to support the Symphony Orchestra’s efforts. In the event of inclement weather, the orchestra has arranged for indoor venues to ensure the performances proceed as planned.
