West Virginia National Guard Mobilizes for Flood Recovery Efforts in Ohio County
Tridelphia, WV – June 16, 2025 – In response to severe and deadly flash flooding, West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey has issued a state of emergency for Ohio County. The declaration came after significant rainfall caused widespread devastation, prompting immediate action from state resources.
Members of the West Virginia National Guard have been deployed to assist in recovery efforts, specifically in the Tridelphia area. Soldiers from the 115th Engineer Vertical Construction Company, the 119th Engineer Company (Sapper), the 601st Engineer Support Company, and the 863rd Military Police Company are on the ground to support local emergency management agencies and first responders.
