West Virginia University at Parkersburg Board of Governors has announced that tuition rates will remain unchanged for the 2025-2026 academic year. Chief Financial Officer, Brad Wilson, highlighted that WVUP has one of the lowest tuition rates in the region, making it a highly affordable option for students in the state.
Former Board Chair, Joe Oliverio, stepped down to take on a new role with the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical Colleges, overseeing all nine community colleges, including WVUP. Oliverio commended the success and growth of the institution during his tenure and expressed his continued support for WVUP in his new capacity.
The board also conducted an evaluation of President Torie Jackson, unanimously approving the renewal of her contract.
