Eight-year-old Everett Eskew showed his gratitude for the Fairfax County Fire Department by setting up an Icee stand in Alexandria, Virginia to raise money for them. Last year, the department had helped him when he broke his arm, and he wanted to give back to them. With the support of his mom and best friend, Everett sold Icees for $2 each, raising a total of $281. Half of the proceeds were donated to the fire department as a way to say thank you for their kindness and support when he needed it the most. The firefighters were touched by Everett’s gesture and some even stopped by to show their appreciation for the young boy’s efforts. Not only did this experience teach Everett the importance of giving back, but it also helped him understand the impact of gratitude and support from the community. His generosity and kindness have inspired many and serves as a heartwarming reminder of the good that can come from simple acts of kindness. The Fairfax County Fire Department was deeply moved by Everett’s gesture and expressed their gratitude for his support. The young boy’s initiative has left a lasting impact on the community and serves as a testament to the power of appreciation and giving back.
