Duke baseball secured its first ACC road series and ranked series victory of the season with a dominant 13-2 win over No. 23 Virginia. Junior left-hander Andrew Healy impressed on the mound, working five innings with five strikeouts and one run allowed. Macon Winslow, Noah Murray, and Jake Hyde led the offensive charge for the Blue Devils, securing key runs early in the game.

Hyde, in particular, had a career day with four hits, including a home run, and four RBIs. The Duke lineup showcased a balanced attack, with contributions from the bottom of the order, including Murray’s impressive performance in his first collegiate start. Head coach Chris Pollard commended Healy’s pitching and Murray’s selflessness and team-first attitude after the game.

With this win, Duke improved to 7-0 when scoring 10-plus runs in a game. The Blue Devils have now won three of their last four series against Virginia. The team looks to continue their success as they conclude the series against the Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Davenport Field at Disharoon Park.
