The University of Virginia baseball team completed a series sweep of No. 20 Stanford with a thrilling 9-8 walk-off victory in 10 innings. Aidan Teel’s double in the bottom of the 10th gave the Cavaliers their third comeback win of the series. Middle infielders Eric Becker and Henry Godbout led the offensive charge, each going 3-for-5 on the afternoon. Becker also had three RBIs and scored twice. The win was a milestone for Virginia head coach Brian O’Connor, making him the 15th active Division I coach with 900 career wins. The Cavaliers will look to continue their success as they face the Old Dominion Monarchs on Tuesday at Disharoon Park. The game is set to begin at 6 p.m. and will be broadcast on ACCNX and WINA (98.9/1070 AM). Virginia’s victory over Stanford marks a significant achievement for the team and Coach O’Connor as they look to build on their momentum heading into the next game.
