MS-13 Gang Leader Accused Appears Before Federal Judge in Virginia

24-year-old Henrry Josue Villatoro Santos, an accused MS-13 gang leader, is facing a federal grand jury after being charged with unlawful possession of firearms by an alien in the country illegally. Santos was arrested at his mother’s home in Dale City, Virginia, where investigators found guns, ammunition, suppressors, and signs of MS-13 association. Despite this, Santos’ mother denied knowledge of his alleged gang involvement. The case was sent to a federal grand jury after a judge ruled there was enough probable cause.

The arrest was celebrated by federal leaders, with U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi highlighting Santos as one of the top three MS-13 gang leaders in the country. However, during the court hearing, there was no mention of any MS-13 affiliations, and the original warrant and affidavit documents remain sealed.

Santos, who came to the country in 2014, was classified as a special immigration juvenile, but there is no adult application for legal status on record. The ATF is still analyzing the firearms found in Santos’ room, with his defense attorney pointing out that one of the suppressors was for an Airsoft rifle. Santos waived his right to a detention hearing, and both his public defender and U.S. Attorney declined to comment after the hearing. The case against Santos is ongoing, with more information possibly becoming available as the investigation progresses.
