Handyman in Washington State Accused of Murder

A Washington state handyman, Jeffrey Zizz, is facing charges in connection with the death of a missing woman, Marcia Norman, whose remains were found buried under concrete in a shed he allegedly built. Norman had disappeared under suspicious circumstances, and her family reported her missing in early April. Zizz, who was previously convicted of child sex crimes, had dinner with Norman and was the last person known to have seen her. The investigation stalled initially but progressed after evidence showed Zizz had lied. Cadaver dogs indicated human remains were likely present at the shed Zizz built, leading to the discovery of Norman’s body.

The autopsy confirmed that Norman died from blunt and sharp force injuries to the head, torso, and extremities, caused by being assaulted by another person while she was alive. Zizz had pleaded guilty to child molestation in 2021 and was released from jail after serving only 11 months due to time served credit. The investigation into Norman’s death and Zizz’s involvement is ongoing, with additional charges expected to be filed.

Norman’s family described her as an engaged member of her community, and they are grieving her loss while looking for ways to honor her memory. Sanders, the Thurston County Sheriff, emphasized seeking justice for Norman and ensuring that her life and the investigation into her death are the focus moving forward.
